The Conor Pass

The Conor Pass in county Kerry is a steep, narrow road that cuts through the Brandon mountain range north of Dingle town. It is about 600m high.
The road is full of overhanging rocks and steep cliffs. It is definitely worth the drive, because the panoramic views are overwhelming.

It connects the north and the south of Dingle peninsula. The Conor Pass is the highest road in Ireland and you will get amazing views here – if it’s not foggy.
It was pretty cloudy when we were there, but in my opinion this lent an air of mystery and danger to this beautiful place.
The biggest challenge here was to keep the lens and filters dry.

On my workshops I discussed these and other techniques I use to capture the landscape in dramatic black and white.

Lovingly printed on 250 g/m² Epson Luster Premium Photo paper using genuine Epson inks. Delivered rolled in a tube. Local delivery flat in a cello envelope.
